Website development cost in India ranges from a few thousand rupees to several lakhs. At CodeXprime, a 5-page business website starts at ₹10,000, a custom Next.js business website at ₹20,000, a Shopify store at ₹15,000 and a custom Next.js online store at ₹25,000. The final price depends on the type of site, the number of pages or products, and custom features.

Our starting prices (November 2026)
Website type | Starting price | Usual timeline |
|---|---|---|
Business website (5 pages) | ₹10,000 | 5–20 days |
₹15,000 | 5–20 days | |
₹20,000 | 5–20 days | |
₹25,000 | 5–35 days | |
WooCommerce store, web app / MVP, redesign | Quoted per project | Depends on scope |
Most projects finish in 5 to 20 days. Larger builds can take 25 to 35 days.
How payment works
You pay 50% when the project starts and the remaining 50% once development is complete and you've checked the site. No payment is taken for work you haven't seen.
What changes the price
Number of pages or products: 10 pages cost less than 50; 50 products cost less than 5,000 with variants.
Design: a ready theme is cheaper than a custom design made for your brand.
Features: booking, payments, logins, multi-vendor and dashboards add development time.
Integrations: Razorpay, Shiprocket, CRM, WhatsApp API.
Content: if we write copy or source photos, that's extra.
Costs you pay separately
These go to third parties, not to us: domain (yearly), hosting or Shopify plan (monthly or yearly), payment gateway fees per transaction, paid themes or plugins, and WhatsApp API charges. We list these in every quote so there are no surprises.
Why some quotes are much cheaper
Very low quotes often use a pirated or shared theme, skip mobile testing, or keep the domain in the developer's name. Before you choose, ask who will own the domain and code, and what support you get after launch.
Website development cost by business type
Local service business (clinic, coaching centre, consultant): usually a 5 to 10 page website with enquiry forms and WhatsApp. This is the ₹10,000 to ₹20,000 range.
Small online shop with under 100 products: Shopify from ₹15,000 or a custom store from ₹25,000.
Growing brand or wholesaler with B2B pricing, many variants or custom checkout rules: a custom Next.js store, priced after we see the requirements.
Startup product with logins, dashboards and subscriptions: an MVP, quoted per project.
Template site vs custom site: what you pay for
A template site costs less upfront because the design and features already exist. You pay mainly for setup and content. A custom site costs more because the design and code are made for your business, but it usually loads faster, has no paid plugin renewals and is easier to grow. If your budget is tight and your needs are simple, a template is a sensible start, and we will tell you so.
How to keep your website development cost under control
Write down must-have features before asking for quotes, and keep nice-to-haves for phase two
Prepare your text and photos early; waiting for content is the most common cause of delays
Ask every developer to quote the same scope, so prices are comparable
Check what is excluded: domain, hosting, paid plugins and content writing
A quick example
Say a coaching institute in Delhi needs a home page, about page, three course pages, a results page and a contact page with an enquiry form. That is a 7-page business website. It would fall in our starting range, with domain and hosting paid separately, and would usually be ready in 5 to 20 days once the content is ready.
Ongoing costs after launch
Plan for yearly domain renewal, hosting or a Shopify plan, and occasional updates. Small text or price changes are quick. New features, like adding a booking system later, are quoted separately so you only pay for what you add.

FAQs
Can I start small and add features later?
Yes. We build so features can be added without starting over.
Do prices differ for Delhi clients?
No. Clients in Delhi, Dwarka and the rest of India pay the same rates.
Who owns the website after payment?
You do. Domain, hosting and code are in your name.
Why is a custom online store more expensive than a business website?
An online store has many more moving parts: product catalogue, variants, cart, checkout, payment gateway, shipping integration, order emails, invoices and an admin panel to manage it all. Each of these needs to be built and tested with real orders.
Is the starting price the final price?
The starting price covers a standard setup. If you need extra pages, products to be uploaded by us, or features like booking or logins, the written quote will show those clearly before we begin.
